I spent more than a decade building a career in technology. I knew how to perform, solve problems and meet expectations. But underneath accomplishments, I felt isolated, unsure of myself and disconnected from my body, my feelings and what I actually wanted.
THE STORY BEHIND UNBOUND
A serious illness forced me to confront a truth I had been avoiding: I was afraid to fully live. Not long afterward, I met a mentor who helped me see how afraid I really was. I backed away from tension, and I stayed in my head so I wouldn’t have to fully feel.
He challenged me to move toward discomfort. But he also brought me into my body—to feel what was there, express it and allow myself to be seen in it. So I began doing the opposite. When something mattered and created tension, I moved toward it. When feelings arose, I stopped explaining it and stayed with it. When I wanted to hide, I practiced letting myself be seen.
The point wasn’t to become reckless or consumed by emotion. It was to become present enough to feel what was true—and courageous enough to act on it. Life stopped feeling like something that was happening to me. I became a conscious participant in creating it.
I go to the movies almost every week. Scanning my A-List pass makes me feel like a celebrity, despite all available evidence.

I’m an early bird during the week and a night owl on weekends. Apparently my internal clock observes business hours.

I love the weather—and, through extraordinary luck, live within walking distance of what I consider the best bagel shop in the city.

I lift in the outdoor spaces at Gold’s Gym in Venice and run along the beach or in the mountains. City streets are always my last choice.
Outside Whenever Possible
I grew up on beaches, bagels, pizza and Bruce Springsteen. I remain loyal to all four.

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."
First, we look beneath the surface. Through movement and feedback, we make visible the patterns, emotions, assumptions and ways of protecting yourself that influence how you see the world and the choices you make. You come back into your body and begin to feel what is true beneath the strategies you have learned to rely on.
Then, we create a vision for the life you genuinely want. From there, the work becomes practicing choice: moving toward that vision when familiar patterns tell you to retreat, control, perform or wait.
Awareness makes choice possible. Vision gives it direction. Your willingness to meet tension creates movement.
Not everything happens one-on-one. I facilitate this work with organizations, retreats, and groups of men ready to face it together. I show up on podcasts and in conversations about purpose, masculinity, and what it actually takes for a man to change how he shows up.
